"A proposed $140 million development in Lysander, N.Y., featuring more than 500 upscale homes, will include Central New
York's first Jack Nicklaus company-designed golf course. The public course reportedly will be part of the first phase of Rochester
developer Gary Pooler's River Road Golf Community along the Seneca River.
The course will be the fourth Nicklaus Design layout in the Empire State. The others are the Country Club of Purchase in
Westchester County, the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe and St. Andrews Golf Club in Hastings-on-the-Hudson. The latter
is reputed to be the oldest golf club in the United States and was redesigned by Nicklaus in 1985."
